2 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks view rookie outfielder Corbin Carroll as a centerpiece of their future and have engaged him in conversations about a long-term contract, according to sources. It could be the team's best time to strike to ensure that they keep him around beyond the minimum of six year's of club control. The 22-year-old spent only 38 days in the big leagues last year after debuting in August. He hit .260/.330/.500 with nine doubles, two triples and four home runs in 32 games played. Carroll is set to enter 2023 as the team's primary left fielder, and he'll have plenty of fantasy appeal in his first full major-league season. He's widely regarded as one of baseball's best prospects, and RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 22 fantasy outfielder.
