DeVonta Smith Limited With Elbow Injury
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver DeVonta Smith (elbow) was limited in practice on Wednesday due to an elbow injury. As long as Smith's injury doesn't get worse as the week develops, he should be fine to start in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos. The 22-year-old first-rounder had one of his best performances of the season in the Week 9 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, hauling in five of his six targets for 116 yards -- his second 100-yard game of the year -- and his second touchdown of his rookie season. Smith has proven to be a boom/bust WR3/flex for fantasy managers in his first year, and it's even more concerning that the Eagles offense has suddenly shifted to more of a run-heavy unit in recent weeks. Smith has just nine targets in the last two games combined after seeing nine targets alone in Week 7.
