Dee Gordon Departs Saturday's Game With Strained Quad
Dee Gordon was forced from the game Saturday after straining his quad while running the bases. He injured himself going first to third on a hit by Mallex Smith in the bottom of the third, but managed to stay in the game for the top of the fourth. After failing to cover second on a ground ball in the inning, Gordon was lifted from the contest ending his night going 1-for-1 with a run scored. The issue doesn't sound too serious, and we should consider the 31-year-old day-to-day for now. The M's will likely rest him Sunday with an off-day Monday before the Cardinals come to town the following day for a three-game set.
