Davis Martin to Come Off Injured List and Start on Tuesday
Davis Martin (forearm) will be activated from the 15-day injured list and start on Tuesday versus the Tampa Bay Rays. Martin will be returning to a 2-7 record, 3.79 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and just 53 strikeouts in 80 2/3 innings pitched over his 14 appearances (13 starts) for the Pale Hose in 2025. The 28-year-old made two minor-league rehab starts with Triple-A Charlotte and allowed three runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out five in 5 2/3 innings pitched. Martin initially landed on the IL back on June 12, so he probably isn't going to be able to give fantasy managers much length in his first start back in the bigs. The former 14th-rounder went at least six innings in each of his last six starts for the White Sox, but he also has a career-low 15.9% strikeout rate that leaves a lot to be desired.
