Dallas Goedert 2024 Outlook: Bouncing Back and Regaining Efficiency
7 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert had an underwhelming 2023 campaign. He made 59 grabs for 592 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games, amounting to an average of 9.7 PPR points per game. That average output was his lowest since 2019, but it still kept him as the TE12 on a per-game basis. Goedert's 0.32 fantasy points per route run and 1.64 fantasy points per target were the worst marks of his career. Now, Goedert returns for his seventh season with the team. Like last year, receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith will serve as quarterback Jalen Hurts's top options. However, there is no established WR3 for the squad, with the role likely being filled by either Parris Campbell or rookie Johnny Wilson. Goedert also faces no real competition at the tight end position. He has been drafted as the TE12 recently, which makes him a potential value target. Goedert's efficiency should positively regress toward his baseline, and his target share should remain stable. Barring injuries, which have hampered Goedert over the years, he should outperform his stat line from a season ago.
