Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Cristopher Sanchez allowed one run on six hits and three walks with six strikeouts in 7 ⅓ innings in a 2-1 victory against the Padres. This was his eighth win of the season, bringing his record to 8-2. The 28-year-old has been one of the most reliable pitchers in baseball, as this was his eighth straight quality start. The lefty heads into the break with a 2.50 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 122 strikeouts through 115 innings pitched. He's been regarded as one of the biggest All-Star snubs, and the Phillies recently activated his bonus All-Star clause in his contract to reward him, despite not officially making the team.--Jeremy Heist
