Corey Seager Heading To Injured List
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager is headed to the 10-day injured list after pulling up lame in Tuesday night's game. While running the bases and trying to score, Seager came up limping around third, and the initial diagnosis is a Grade 2-plus hamstring strain. With a Grade-3 being the most severe, this will undoubtedly keep him out of action for several weeks, and Chris Taylor is expected to handle the bulk of the duties at shortstop in the meantime. It's a huge blow after Seager missed almost the entirety of 2018 and was hitting a cool .278 with eight homers and 38 RBI this season in his triumphant return. The Dodgers should pass along a firmer timetable for his recovery in the next day or two, and owners should look for a long-term replacement.
