Corbin Burnes Making Spring Debut Thursday
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Corbin Burnes is expected to pitch two innings in his Cactus League debut on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers. It will also be Burnes' first time working with new catcher William Contreras in a game setting. RotoBaller's No. 2-ranked starting pitcher has made the All-Star team in each of the last two seasons and went 12-8 with a 2.94 ERA (3.14 FIP), 0.96 WHIP and 30.5 percent strikeout rate in a career-high 202 innings over 33 starts for the Brew Crew last year. He's as safe as they come in fantasy from a pitching perspective, but his relationship with the organization was tarnished this offseason when he went to a salary arbitration case and lost.
