Colton Cowser Picks Up Two Hits in Latest Rehab Game
Colton Cowser (thumb) went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, one run scored and a strikeout out of the leadoff spot in a minor-league rehab game with Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday. Interim manager Tony Mansolino said last Friday that Cowser is expected to come off the 60-day injured list to rejoin the team during their upcoming road trip that starts on Tuesday against the Mariners in Seattle. The 25-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder only played in four games in 2025 before fracturing his thumb, but he's on the cusp of a return and should be picked up off the waiver wire immediately if he's available in your league. Cowser will be a starter for Baltimore, at least against right-handed pitchers, after hitting .242/.321/.447 with a .768 OPS, 24 home runs, 69 RBI and nine stolen bases in 153 games in his first full MLB season in 2024.
