Colby Thomas Hits First Career MLB Home Run
Colby Thomas hit his first MLB home run during their victory over the Washington Nationals on Thursday afternoon. Thomas tallied his lone hit of the game with a two-run shot in the opening frame off Mitchell Parker, which scored Darell Hernaiz. Later in the fourth, Thomas would tack on his third RBI of the contest with a sacrifice fly, which brought in Hernaiz for the second time. This is Thomas' second stint in the big leagues. Through 16 career games in the majors, Thomas has posted a modest .156/.243/.313 line. However, he has not seen consistent at-bats as the Athletics outfield is quite deep. For now, Thomas remains a target for deeper AL-only redraft leagues. If he can continue to produce, he could carve out a starting role for the 2026 season.
