Athletics outfield prospect Colby Thomas hit his first MLB home run during their victory over the Washington Nationals on Thursday afternoon. Thomas tallied his lone hit of the game with a two-run shot in the opening frame off Mitchell Parker, which scored Darell Hernaiz. Later in the fourth, Thomas would tack on his third RBI of the contest with a sacrifice fly, which brought in Hernaiz for the second time. This is Thomas' second stint in the big leagues. Through 16 career games in the majors, Thomas has posted a modest .156/.243/.313 line. However, he has not seen consistent at-bats as the Athletics outfield is quite deep. For now, Thomas remains a target for deeper AL-only redraft leagues. If he can continue to produce, he could carve out a starting role for the 2026 season.--Andy Smith
