1 year agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson is expected to suit up in the team's preseason opener on Friday night against the Cincinnati Bengals. Along with quarterback Jordan Love, Watson will likely play a series or two on offense before leaving the game on Friday. Fellow wideouts Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed and Samori Toure are also expected to play against Cincinnati. The 24-year-old Watson, a second-round pick in 2022, finished his rookie season with 41 receptions on 66 targets for 611 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games (11 starts). Watson figures to be Love's top target through the air, but Green Bay is expected to lean heavily on the run in 2023 in order to help out first-time starter Love.
