Chiefs Discussing Extension With Orlando Brown
2 years agoKansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said that the team has been in discussions with left tackle Orlando Brown on a long-term contract extension. Brown played the 2023 season under the franchise tag and is likely to receive the tag for the second straight season by next Tuesday's deadline. However, there appears to be more optimism that the team can sign him to a long-term deal this time around after he declined a six-year, $139 million deal last offseason. The 26-year-old has been a Pro Bowler in each of the last four seasons, with his last two coming in Kansas City, and the Chiefs aren't going to let quarterback Patrick Mahomes' blind-side protector get away.
