Charlie Morton "Mostly Caught Up" At This Point In February
Charlie Morton (leg) said he is "mostly caught up" to where he would usually be at this point of February. The 38-year-old underwent surgery on October 28 after breaking his leg in Game 1 of the 2021 World Series against the Houston Astros. He also mentions that he wouldn't know more until he gets into the rigors of spring training. In September, the veteran right-hander was rewarded with a one-year, $20 million extension after posting a 14-6 record, 3.34 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and a 216:58 K: BB over 185 2/3 innings in 2021. Morton, when fully healthy, is expected to lead the Braves' starting rotation and is being drafted among the top-30 starters with an ADP of 92.
