Chad Patrick Slated to be Primary Pitcher on Saturday
Chad Patrick is slated to be the primary relief option during Saturday's contest against the Philadelphia Phillies. Curt Hogg of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted that Rob Zastryzny is expected to serve as the opener. Patrick has appeared in 12 games this season and has started in 11 of them. Through 57 2/3 innings of work, the right-hander has been able to hold his own through his first taste of MLB action. Across this stretch, Patrick has posted a 2.97 ERA with a 1.25 WHIP. Under the hood, he has generated a strong 5.9% barrel rate and a 3.89 xERA, which places him in the 48th percentile among qualified pitchers. This afternoon, fantasy managers should not target Patrick in DFS as he has only posted a modest 21.2% strikeout rate and will have a tough task facing a potent Philadelphia lineup.
