Carlos Correa Out With Rib Injury
6 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa is sidelined Tuesday with what the team is calling "rib soreness." He's getting evaluated my doctors, and the team should update us with a status later this evening. Correa also sat out Monday's game, but manager A.J. Hinch doesn't expect the injury to hold him out long-term. This speculation wouldn't rule out a trip to the 10-day IL, but owners should monitor the situation over the next day or two to find out the results. Correa has battled health issues throughout his big league career but is off to a terrific start this season with a .295 average and 11 homers. Expect the Astros to remain cautious with their star shortstop as they have plenty of depth in the minors to replace his roster spot.
