Caden Dana Has Abbreviated Outing on Wednesday
Caden Dana allowed one run on three hits and three walks while striking out three across 2 1/3 innings against Triple-A Albuquerque. Dana threw only 52 pitches in this outing and was largely ineffective despite only conceding one run. It's been a tough season at Triple-A Salt Lake for the 21-year-old right-hander, as he holds a 6.13 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, and a 54:31 K:BB. He made a couple of appearances with the Angels earlier in the year and allowed five runs in six innings on seven hits and five walks. After a dominant 2024 season at Double-A with a 2.52 ERA in 135 2/3 innings, Dana has taken a bit of a step back this season. He still rates as one of the best arms in the Angels system, though, and is plenty young enough to correct course.
