Cade Povich to Make Rehab Start on Tuesday
Cade Povich (hip) will make another minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday night, according to Jake Rill of MLB.com. In his last rehab start with the Tides last Thursday, Povich got up to 70 pitches in his fourth start in the minors, so barring a setback with his hip on Tuesday, he figures to make his next start for the Orioles. While there isn't currently room in the five-man starting rotation at the big-league level, there could be after this Thursday's trade deadline if the O's trade one or both of Zach Eflin and Charlie Morton. The 25-year-old southpaw is in his second big-league season in Baltimore and has been inconsistent, going 2-5 with a 5.15 ERA (4.11 FIP) and 1.50 WHIP while walking 23 and striking out 68 in 64 2/3 innings over 13 outings (12 starts) this year.
