Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 9 contest against the Denver Broncos. He was initially listed as questionable and entered concussion protocol before being downgraded to out. He finishes Sunday's game having completed six of 10 pass attempts for 79 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He also picked up 12 rushing yards. Davis Mills entered in his place and will remain the Texans' quarterback for the rest of Week 9. The Stanford product could also earn the start next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars if Stroud isn't able to clear concussion protocol within the next seven days.--Andersen Pickard
