Broncos Release Chase Edmonds
2 years agoThe Denver Broncos released running back Chase Edmonds on Friday, according to a source. Edmonds' release will save the Broncos $5.92 million against the 2023 salary cap. The 26-year-old started the 2022 season with the Miami Dolphins but joined the Broncos midway through the year. He finished with just 68 total carries for 245 yards (3.6 yards per attempt) and two touchdowns, adding 16 receptions for 157 yards and another score in 13 games (three starts). His time in both Miami and Denver was disappointing as a secondary option in both backfields, and he's unlikely to secure a lead-back role on the open market this offseason.
