2 years agoThe Denver Broncos hired Joe Lombardi on Thursday to be part of their offensive staff under new head coach Sean Payton, according to a source. His official title is to be determined, but it's possible he'll be named the new offensive coordinator. It will be Lombardi's third assistant coaching stint with Payton. Lombardi served as the Los Angeles Chargers' offensive coordinator the last two years before being fired after the 2022 campaign. He spent the previous five years as Payton's quarterbacks coach with the New Orleans Saints. In addition to Lombardi, Denver also hired former NFL QB Davis Webb to be their next quarterbacks coach in their attempt to help Russell Wilson bounce back from a hugely disappointing 2022 season in his first year in Denver.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
