Brett Baty Starting On The Bench Against Dodgers
Brett Baty (thumb) is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Baty also missed Tuesday's contest with a thumb injury. Fantasy managers should consider the 22-year-old day-to-day for now. The left-handed slugger has gotten off to a slow start in his first 11 major league contests, going 7-for-38 (.184) with two homers, five RBI, four runs scored and eight strikeouts, but he'll continue to be relevant in deep mixed leagues the rest of the way, as long as he continues to play regularly. Eduardo Escobar is starting at the hot corner and batting eighth against Dodgers left-hander Tyler Anderson. Escobar will be a deep DFS sleeper. He's hitting .242 (31-for-128) with six of his 12 home runs this year against lefties.
