Brandyn Garcia Called Up from Triple-A for MLB Debut
Brandyn Garcia was called up from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday for what will be his major league debut whenever he enters a game. The left-hander worked as a starter in 2024, but this year, between Double-A and Triple-A, he worked solely as a reliever. In 32 appearances (33 1/3 innings pitched) across both levels, the 6-foot-4 southpaw registered a 3.51 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and a 16.8 percent K-BB%. He'll take on a low-leverage, middle relief role for the Mariners, and combined with a lack of strong strikeout numbers and elevated walk rates, there is little fantasy relevance here. Juan Burgos was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
