Brandon Marsh Lands On Injured List
1 year agoThe Philadelphia Phillies placed outfielder Brandon Marsh (knee) on the 10-day injured list on Sunday with a bruised left knee and recalled infielder Weston Wilson from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. Marsh will be out for two to three weeks. Wilson will play some left field with Jake Cave and whenever Kyle Schwarber isn't serving as the designated hitter. With Marsh sidelined, rookie Johan Rojas should see regular starts in center field for the Phillies. It's a tough break for the 25-year-old Marsh, who had been hot at the plate since the All-Star break. Overall, he's hitting .284/.369/.463 with an .833 OPS, eight home runs, 20 doubles, six triples, 44 RBI, six stolen bases and 41 runs scored in 101 games in his first full season in Philadelphia.
