Brandon Drury Needs At Least Two More Rehab Games
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Brandon Drury (shoulder) will play in at least two more minor-league rehab games. The Angels want to see him swing without any hesitation. The hope was that Drury would be activated from the injured list in time to play on Thursday against the Seattle Mariners, but that didn't end up happening. Barring a setback in his next two rehab games, the 30-year-old should be able to rejoin the big-league roster early next week at the latest. When he's ready to return, he should split time at the hot corner with the left-handed-hitting Mike Moustakas, and he could also see time at first base. Before his injury, Drury was hitting a solid .277/.322/.500 with 14 home runs, 17 doubles, two triples, 45 RBI and 36 runs scored in 75 games in his first year in Anaheim.
