Bears Trade No. 1 Pick To The Panthers
2 years agoThe Chicago Bears are trading the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft to the Carolina Panthers, according to sources. The Panthers are sending the Bears the No. 9 overall pick, pick No. 61, a first-rounder in 2024, a second-rounder in 2025 and wide receiver DJ Moore, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. What a haul for the Bears as they drop down to No. 9 overall in the first round this April. Carolina currently has only Matt Corral and P.J. Walker as their QBs on roster, so they were fully expected to pursue an upgrade at the position this offseason through the draft, a trade or free agency. It's clear now they'll take a signal-caller at No. 1 overall, and they'll have their pick among names like Alabama's Bryce Young, Ohio State's C.J. Stroud and Florida's Anthony Richardson.
