Bears Sign Justin Fields To Rookie Deal
4 years agoThe Chicago Bears agreed to terms with first-round quarterback Justin Fields on a fully guaranteed four-year, $18,871,952 contract on Thursday that includes a $11,085,056 signing bonus, according to a source. Chicago traded up to take Fields at No. 11 overall in this year's NFL draft as their quarterback of the future. It's been expected that veteran Andy Dalton will keep the seat warm in 2021 until Fields is ready. With elite athleticism, Fields will have mouthwatering fantasy upside whenever he takes over the starting gig because of his ability to do damage with his arm and his legs. The 22-year-old from Ohio State will be a better dynasty/keeper asset this year, but he could have some QB2 value later in the year if he winds up taking over for Dalton.
