Andrew McCutchen Activated From Injured List
1 year agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates activated outfielder Andrew McCutchen (elbow) from the 10-day injured list on Sunday and optioned infielder Rodolfo Castro to Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move. The Pirates also added pitching prospect Quinn Priester to the taxi squad. McCutchen was immediately reinserted into Sunday's starting lineup, serving as the designated hitter and batting third against San Francisco Giants left-hander Alex Wood. Fantasy managers will be hoping that the 36-year-old veteran outfielder can keep up his solid season for Pittsburgh in the second half. McCutchen is returning to a .268/.383/.425 slash line, .808 OPS, 10 home runs, 11 doubles, 28 RBI, nine stolen bases and 38 runs scored in 74 games (316 plate appearances).
