Aaron Rodgers Could Play In Preseason Finale
1 year agoNew York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not play in the team's first preseason contest in the Hall of Fame game on Thursday against the Cleveland Browns, but he could play in the preseason finale against the New York Giants on Aug. 26. Zach Wilson will get the start on Thursday against the Browns. Rodgers hasn't played in a preseason game since 2018 with the Green Bay Packers. The 39-year-old future Hall of Famer doesn't need any extra tune-ups at the risk of injury in the preseason at this point of career, and he'll continue to work on chemistry with his receivers during training camp practices. Rodgers will have better weapons for sure this year in New York, but it won't necessarily put him into every-week QB1 status in fantasy after one of the worst seasons of his career in 2022.
