Patrick Mahomes's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Patrick Mahomes for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB1
ANALYSIS: Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes hasn't produced like his old self this season. He seems to have been hurt by the lack of a number 1 WR after the loss of many wide receivers over the past two years. Many of the receivers the Chiefs have now drop passes too often. Even Taylor Swift's presence at games couldn't help him.

The Chiefs offense as a whole is scoring fewer points, and that means fewer touchdown passes for Patrick Mahomes. In the past two games, he has only thrown two touchdown passes, and he only has two games with three or more touchdown passes all season. But if Mahomes isn't competing for the QB1 spot, as he was last season, he is still a top-12 quarterback worthy of starting in fantasy football leagues.
Mahomes currently ranks as the QB7. He has had a couple of down games, scoring below 15 points in each of the past two weeks, but his 20.8-point performance in Week 12 was good for the QB9 finish on the week. Mahomes has finished as high as QB2 in Week 7 and as low as QB29 in Week 8.
Throughout the season, he has finished as a top-12 QB seven times and finished as a top-24 QB every week but in Week 8. He is a viable starter in single-QB leagues and a must-start in Superflex/two-QB leagues.
