The New Orleans Saints found its new franchise quarterback this offseason in Derek Carr and have a weak schedule set up for "real life" and fantasy football success in 2023.
However, there is plenty of uncertainty among Saints' fantasy-relevant players, including the status of Alvin Kamara, the health of Michael Thomas, and the overall ceiling of the offense as a whole.

New Orleans Saints 2023 Schedule
As always, the Saints will face each of its NFC South foes twice but have matchups with the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, New York Giants, and Los Angeles Rams elsewhere in the NFC. New Orleans will face the Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and New England Patriots on the AFC side.
According to Sharp Football Analysis, the Saints have the easiest schedule in the NFL by a decent margin. 13 of its 17 games are against opponents who had losing records in 2022. The only teams they are set to face with winning records from last season are the Lions, Jaguars, Giants, and Vikings.
2023 Saints Schedule Analysis for Fantasy Football
The Saints will play nine games against teams who had bottom-12 defenses against fantasy quarterbacks last season and only face three teams who ranked in the top-12 in fantasy points allowed to signal callers. Needless to say, it could be a good season for Carr in fantasy.
New Orleans will also face the two weakest teams against fantasy RBs in 2022 (Houston, Chicago), and the Colts, Vikings, Packers, and Rams were bottom-12 units against the position. We'll have to wait and see what happens with Alvin Kamara as he could be facing suspension, but Kamara, Jamaal Williams, or Kendre Miller could be set up for success.
The overall schedule is also favorable for wide receivers and tight ends, meaning Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, Juwan Johnson, and Foster Moreau could exceed expectations in 2023.
In the fantasy football playoff rounds (Week 15 to 17), New Orleans battles the Giants, Rams, and Buccaneers. Based on last year's stats, those three teams present neutral matchups for all positions as a whole.
