NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel DFS Basketball Advice for 2/4/16

Tonight we have some great match ups, and even better FanDuel picks! Plenty of stars to roster tonight, so choose wisely and make sure to monitor all the injury news leading up to the first tip off.

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for FanDuel for 2/4/16. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Point Guards

Brandon Jennings (vs NY, $3,700)

I guess we'll start with the riskiest play of the night. In DFS you always have to try to stay one step ahead, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's injury might provide an under the radar opportunity for Brandon Jennings. Detroit has experimented with playing Jennings and starter Reggie Jackson at the same time, in attempt to get the talented Jennings more playing time. The Knicks don't have exceptional guard play, so I think there's a good chance Jennings continues to see over 20 minutes, which would almost guarantee he reaches value. Definitely more of a GPP play, but on a short slate sometimes you have to try to differentiate your lineup wherever you can.

Norris Cole (at LAL, $5,000)

This pick is hinged on the status of Tyreke Evans heading into tonights game against the Lakers. If he sits, Cole will surely be one of the most popular plays of the night. Cole has scored over 30 FD points in three out of the last four games with Evans out, and has a great match up tonight against the Lakers.  Cole is probably a lock for at least 30 FD points again if Evans is out, and could sniff 40 facing one of the worst defenses in the NBA.

 

FanDuel DFS Shooting Guards

Devin Booker (vs HOU, $5,400)

If Tyreke Evans does sit, SG is going to look a little thin on FanDuel tonight. If you don't want to pony up for Harden (you'll see I'm not buying) then its gonna look even more thin. DeRozan (more on him later), McCollum, and Louis Williams become your most expensive options. Right below that however, I have my eye on Devin Booker. His matchup tonight is super fantasy friendly tonight against Houston, and he's reached almost 5x value in the last five games. I'm riding the hot hand at a great price.

DeMar DeRozan (at POR, $8,100)

I'm sure you noticed my first three selections were pretty cheap. Here's one of the first under-priced stars I think are in for a great night. Portland doesn't have much size on the perimeter, and doesn't play much defense overall out there. DeMar should have his way getting to the rim as well, as Portland doesn't have any great rim protectors either. Great matchup, at a very thin position tonight. Don't over think it.

 

FanDuel DFS Small Forwards

Marcus Morris (vs NY, $5,100)

As I mentioned earlier, with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope out, there are going to be a few fantasy beneficiaries on the Pistons. But who gains the biggest boost in value? Marcus Morris. With a lot less competition on the wing for minutes and shot attempts, Morris's usage should get a significant uptick. I think Coach Van Gundy will get a little more creative with his lineups, which will definitely include the incredibly versatile Morris. In his first game without KCP, Morris played 36 minutes and racked up 27 FD points, and that should be his floor for the foreseeable future.

Carmelo Anthony (at DET, $8,900)

Ummmm Carmelo under $9,000. Yes please, sign me up. Since returning from his minor knee injury, Melo has put up totals of 35, 40, and 49 FD points. Although one or two of those were not so efficient performances, that doesn't hurt you in DFS, so don't even look at those stats when you're looking to roster Carmelo.  This game should be really close, and you always want to try and roster Melo when you know his usage is going to be high for four quarters.  I think he's a lock for 4x value tonight at this price, and has a ceiling of 50 or more points. Dollar for dollar he's one of my favorite plays of the night.

 

FanDuel DFS Power Forwards

Markieff Morris (vs HOU, $5,200)

I just had to include the second Morri(s). He has an excellent match up tonight against the very fast paced Rockets and is coming off his best game of the season two nights ago in Toronto. In that game, he dropped 30 real points, 11 rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and a steal for good measure on his way to 54.2 FD points. Clearly the Suns are trying to showcase Morris to the league and boost his trade value, so make sure you take advantage of it before his price climbs on FanDuel. As long as he can stay out of foul trouble, Morris should easily reach 5x value, and he has an incredibly high ceiling considering his recent performance.

Anthony Davis (vs LAL, $10,100)

I'm gonna keep this short and simple. Anthony Davis is playing the Lakers tonight. Roster him. Even though his ownership will likely be through the roof, AD has the chance for one of his historic fantasy performances tonight. With Evans likely out tonight (keep an eye on that), AD's usage will get a nice boost AND the game should be surprisingly close. Basically you're getting a fantasy superstar, at a depressed price, against one of the leagues worst defense, in a close game. There's nothing better than that.  Plug him into your roster first and figure everything else out from there.

 

FanDuel DFS Centers

Dwight Howard (at PHO, $7,800)

Last but certainly not least, we get to Dwight Howard. After missing the last game due to a suspension, Dwight will be fully rested and ready to help the Rockets take on the decimated Phoenix Suns. I've already discussed how much I like the pace of this game, which will surely benefit Dwight with more opportunities to grab boards and rim run in transition. Truthfully , Dwight might be a little overpriced for his recent production, but I think his ownership will be pretty low tonight, and I think he matches Drummond point for point on FD. This is definitely one of the riskier picks in this article, so I would probably only look to roster Dwight in GPP's.
