MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 7/19/15

Below you'll find my DFS lineup picks for Sunday, July 19th 2015. As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on pricing and matchups data.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $60,000 in cash prizes, including 10K to 1st place!

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Detroit Tigers Middle of the Lineup vs Miguel Gonzalez

As a team, the Detroit Tigers hold the second best offense in the league against right-handed pitching. Sunday will be a great matchup for the Tigers against opposing pitcher Miguel Gonzalez. Gonzalez has struggled in his past few outings and only has one quality start in his last five outings. His strikeout rate has also severely dipped during that span. Power bats such as Victor Martinez and J. D. Martinez look like great options to secure fantasy points through RBI opportunities on Sunday.

Seattle Mariners RHB vs C. C. Sabathia

The right-handed bats in the Seattle Mariners hold a top five offense against left-handed pitching. There are plenty of options available as bargain picks in the outfield on Sunday against opposing pitcher C. C. Sabathia. Sabathia has also only produced one quality start in his past five outings and carries a 5.47 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP. Right-handed batters are hitting .331 off Sabathia on the year. Austin Jackson and Nelson Cruz look to be great value plays in the outfield, while newcomer Mark Trumbo could provide sneaky value as long as he is in the starting lineup.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Jake Arrieta (SP, CHC) - $11900

There are many ace options on the mound for Sunday’s slate of games, but Arrieta looks to have the best matchup out of the group. Arrieta has been absolutely terrific this year. He holds a 2.66 ERA with a 0.99 WHIP. He also has five straight quality starts, two of which were complete games. Arrieta should have a nice day on the mound against the Atlanta Braves. The Braves hold a bottom ten offense against right-handed pitching.

Danny Duffy (SP, KC) - $4700

Danny Duffy is a dirt cheap option for your secondary starting pitcher. Investing in him could provide your offense with plenty of flexibility to load up on studs with good matchups on Sunday. Duffy has his own good matchup on Sunday. The Chicago White Sox hold the worst offense in the league against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 58. Duffy has actually been decent on the mound as of late, and he is fully capable of producing a quality start against this weak offense.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Salvador Perez (C, KC) - $3100

Salvador Perez provides a great bargain option at the catcher position for Sunday. Perez has been very consistent this year and holds a .258 average with 15 home runs and 38 RBI. Hitting in the middle of this nice offense gives Perez plenty of chances to grab RBI. Perez is also a career 12 for 40 against opposing pitcher Chris Sale.

Adrian Gonzalez (1B, LAD) - $4000

Adrian Gonzalez has hit extremely well as of late and serves as an excellent value pick at the first base position. Gonzalez has seven home runs in the month of July and looks refreshed at the plate since his mediocre May and June. On the year, Gonzalez holds a .285 average with 19 home runs and 57 RBI. He will have a tough matchup against opposing pitcher Max Scherzer, but expect Gonzalez to still be able to contribute to your fantasy roster.

Martin Prado (2B, MIA) - $2800

Martin Prado has returned from the disabled list and serves as a dirt cheap option at the second base position. Prado looked really comfortable at the plate on Saturday, going 3 for 4 with an RBI. Prado should do well on Sunday against opposing pitcher Cole Hamels. Prado has seen plenty of Hamels throughout his career and is a lifetime 21 for 67 with two home runs against Hamels.

Manny Machado (3B, BAL) - $4700

Machado remains the primary target at third base on DraftKings. His power has been plentiful and incredibly consistent this year. Machado holds a .299 average with 19 home runs and 48 RBI on the year. He will face opposing pitcher Justin Verlander on Sunday. Verlander looked good his last time out but has yet to achieve any consistency on the mound. Machado will likely find himself with plenty of opportunities to score runs on Sunday.

Alcides Escobar (SS, KC) - $3700

Alcides Escobar is a must-start on Sunday at the shortstop position. Escobar has been the hottest shortstop in the league and holds a .289 average with two home runs and 33 RBI on the year. He is also hitting .327 in the month of July. Escobar will be facing opposing pitcher Chris Sale on Sunday. Escobar is a career 18 for 48 with a home run against Sale.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) - $5500

It is hard to turn down the guaranteed production that Trout provides on DraftKings. He is the reason we strive to find bargain picks at other positions. Trout holds a .311 average with 27 home runs and 56 RBI on the year. He is also hitting .325 against left-handed pitching specifically this year and should have a nice day at the plate against opposing pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez.

Ryan Braun (OF, MIL) - $4800

Ryan Braun has been a model of consistency this summer and serves as a great pick for your secondary outfielder. Braun holds a .271 average with 16 home runs and 57 RBI on the year. He is hitting .292 against left-handed pitching this year. Braun has also dominated his lifetime matchup against opposing pitcher Jeff Locke. Braun is a career 8 for 23 with a home run against Locke.

Lorenzo Cain (OF, KC) - $4700

Lorenzo Cain is another must-start Kansas City Royal for Sunday’s slate of games. Cain has had a stellar year and holds a .318 average with eight home runs and 43 RBI on the year. Cain has shown a recent power surge and is hitting .452 in the month of July. Cain should be a great pick against opposing pitcher Chris Sale. Cain is a career 14 for 40 with two home runs against Sale.
