MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 7/10/15

As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on pricing and matchups data. Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Friday, July, 10th.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $200,000 in cash prizes, including 10K to 1st place!

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Atlanta Braves LHB vs David Hale

The left-handed bats in the Atlanta Braves hold a top ten offense against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 109. This should be a nice matchup in Colorado against opposing pitcher David Hale. Hale has failed to log a quality start in his last five outings and holds a 5.89 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP on the year. Hale has been extremely hittable, as he has given up at least eight hits in three of those five starts. AJ Pierzynski should be a good pick at catcher while Kelly Johnson provides excellent sleeper value.

*Editor's Note: David Hale was forced to pitch on Thursday and will not be pitching on Friday. Check starting lineups to see who the new Colorado Rockies starter is.

Toronto Blue Jays RHB vs Danny Duffy

The Toronto Blue Jays have absolutely crushed left-handed pitching this year. As right-handed batters, the Blue Jays hold the best offense in the league against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 132. Friday looks like a great day to load up on some sluggers from the Toronto lineup such as Josh Donaldson and Edwin Encarnacion. The lineup will be facing Danny Duffy, who has one quality start in his last six outings and holds a 5.14 ERA with a 1.59 WHIP.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Collin McHugh (SP, HOU) - $8,700

Collin McHugh has had an up and down season but seems to have the righted the ship as of late. McHugh should have a nice matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays have a bottom ten offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 93. McHugh was able to put together several nice performances over the course of June, including two eight-inning efforts against the Angels and the Yankees. Based on this matchup potential, McHugh makes for an excellent value pick as your primary starting pitcher.

Kyle Hendricks (SP, CHC) - $6,900

Kyle Hendricks should look to have a nice day on the mound on Friday against the Chicago White Sox. Hendricks has pitched well against weak teams in his past two outings. He now holds a 3.82 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP. Hendricks should definitely look to pitch a quality start against the White Sox. The White Sox hold a bottom five offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 86. With his improved strikeout rate, Hendricks should provide plenty of value as your secondary pitcher on DraftKings.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Buster Posey (C, SF) - $4,100

Buster Posey should be a great pick at the catcher position on Friday as long as he is healthy. He has missed games on Tuesday and Wednesday due to his tight hamstring. Definitely watch out for the Giants starting lineup before Friday’s slate of games. If healthy, Posey should provide incredible value on Friday. He holds a .300 average with 14 home runs and 57 RBI. He is also a career 9 for 18 with a home run against opposing pitcher Cole Hamels.

Victor Martinez (1B, DET) - $4,100

Victor Martinez is a must-play on Friday due to his recent hot hitting, his relatively cheap price, and his BVP history. Martinez is 13 for his last 30 with a home run and has been able to provide ample value while getting comfortable at the plate again. Martinez is also a career 8 for 22 with a home run against opposing pitcher Ervin Santana. Given his ideal placement in the Detroit lineup, Martinez’s ability to produce RBI only drives up his potential production.

Ian Kinsler (2B, DET) - $4,000

Ian Kinsler is another Detroit Tiger who has dominated opposing pitcher Ervin Santana. Kinsler is a career 20 for 57 with a home run against Santana. Kinsler has had his struggles this year but still holds a .264 average with two home runs and 36 RBI. Kinsler is currently hitting .281 in the month of July, and has hit right-handed pitching significantly better than left-handed pitching this year.

Manny Machado (3B, BAL) - $4,200

Manny Machado comes at an incredible bargain despite being the best third baseman in baseball this year. Machado holds a .301 average with 19 home runs and 48 RBI. He has hit home runs in three of his last five games heading into Friday. Machado has also hit lefties particularly well this year, holding an average of .311. All this bodes well for Machado as he faces opposing pitcher Gio Gonzalez on Friday.

Xander Bogaerts (SS, BOS) - $3,700

Xander Bogaerts looks to be an excellent cheap option at the shortstop position for Friday. Bogaerts has been a model of consistency at the rather shallow shortstop position and heads into Friday with a seven game hitting streak. Bogarts provides incredible value on DraftKings due to his great placement in the Boston lineup. By hitting third, Bogaerts puts himself in an excellent position to grab RBI and score runs. Bogaerts will face Michael Pineda on Friday. Despite Pineda’s pedigree, he has still been somewhat inconsistent and is prone to getting hit around.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) - $5,500

Mike Trout should be well worth his high price tag on DraftKings for Friday. Trout heads into Friday having hit three home runs in his last three games. He now holds a .305 average with 24 home runs and 50 RBI. Mike Trout faces off against opposing pitcher Mike Montgomery on Friday. Despite Montgomery’s rookie success, he still hasn’t found a consistent ability to strike batters out. Trout on the other hand has crushed left-handed pitching this year with a .329 average.

Lorenzo Cain (OF, KC) - $4,700

Lorenzo Cain makes for an excellent pick as your secondary outfielder on DraftKings. Cain has been very hot at the plate as of late and holds a .312 average with 7 home runs and 39 RBI. He has also hit home runs in consecutive games heading into Friday. Cain should be able to keep the good times going against opposing pitcher Marco Estrada. Estrada has struggled against better offenses this year. He struggled in his last two outings against Detroit and Boston.

Hunter Pence (OF, SF) - $3,900

Pence makes for an incredible value pick as your tertiary outfielder. Pence has returned from the disabled list but his investment price on DraftKings has yet to catch up with his potential production. Pence has logged hits in each of his last two games back and looks quite comfortable at the plate. Pence also has had a good BvP history against opposing pitcher Cole Hamels, going 7 for 25.
