MLB DFS Lineup Picks and Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 9/18/15

What's up RotoBallers. Welcome to another edition of my DraftKings DFS lineup picks and analysis. As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on DFS pricing and matchups data. Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Friday, September 18th.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $200,000 in cash prizes, including 20K to 1st place!

Sign up Now and we'll give you free access to RotoBaller's Premium NFL Preseason + Full Season Pass (Includes DFS Lineup Picks), a $99.99 monthly value. Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Detroit Tigers Middle of the Lineup vs Johnny Cueto

As a team, the Detroit Tigers hold a top ten offense against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 100. Friday should be a great matchup for these bats as they face opposing pitcher Johnny Cueto. His last month of work on the mound has been a huge blot on an otherwise good year. Cueto allowed four home runs in his last outing, so have a look at J. D. Martinez and Victor Martinez as quality value picks.

San Francisco Giants Middle of the Lineup vs Rubby De La Rosa

As a team, the San Francisco Giants hold the second best offense in the league against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 109. Be sure to have a look at Brandon Belt and Buster Posey against opposing pitcher Rubby De La Rosa, who has struggled as of late. De La Rosa has given up six home runs in his past four starts.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Masahiro Tanaka (SP, NYY) - $10800

Masahiro Tanaka has been absolutely terrific as of late, and looks to anchor the Yankees as they make a playoff run. Tanaka is coming off two terrific outings against top ranked offenses in the Orioles and the Blue Jays. He should look to dominate the New York Mets, who hold a mediocre offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 98.

Cody Anderson (SP, CLE) - $6100

Cody Anderson is admittedly a risky lottery ticket. However, there are some really great opportunities for offense available on Friday. If you roll the dice with Anderson, you can really maximize your scoring on DraftKings. Anderson is coming off three straight good starts. Two of these were against the Tigers and the other was against the Blue Jays. Anderson looks to have a great matchup against the Chicago White Sox, who hold a bottom ten offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 94.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Salvador Perez (C, KC) - $3300

Salvador Perez makes for a terrific value pick against opposing pitcher Justin Verlander on the road. On the year, Perez holds a wRC+ of 104 against right-handed pitching. He heads into Friday with a seven game hitting streak. Also note that Perez has dominated Verlander in this career, going 20 for 41 with two home runs.

Edwin Encarnacion (1B, TOR) - $5000

Edwin Encarnacion looks to be a must-start against opposing pitcher Rick Porcello at home. Encarnacion has crushed right-handed pitching this season, with a wOBA of .395. This recent finger issue doesn’t seem to be bothering him anymore. Encarnacion is 10 for his last 22 with three home runs. He is also a career 9 for 23 with a home run against Porcello.

Brandon Phillips (2B, CIN) - $4100

Brandon Phillips has been one of the hottest second basemen in the month of September, as he is hitting .362 with two home runs. Despite all the criticisms against the veteran for his decline, Phillips has still managed to produce incredibly well. He will face opposing pitcher Zach Davies on the road. Phillips holds a wRC+ of 103 against right-handed pitching, while Davis holds a 6.60 ERA through three starts this season.

Nolan Arenado (3B, COL) - $4800

Nolan Arenado looks to be a great value pick as he faces opposing pitcher Ian Kennedy. Arenado holds a terrific wOBA of .393 against right-handed pitching this season. He is batting .343 with nine home runs in the month of September. Arenado should be a very safe pick, as Kennedy has struggled in his past two starts and continues to be prone to the long ball.

Starlin Castro (SS, CHC) - $2800

Starlin Castro remains incredibly undervalued on DraftKings. Castro actually happens to be one of the main offensive weapons for the Cubs as they fight in their playoff race. Castro has hit .343 with two home runs in the month of September and should definitely be in the lineup against opposing pitcher Lance Lynn. Castro only holds a wOBA of .266 against right-handed pitching this season, but he has hit very well against Lynn in his career. Castro is a lifetime 13 for 37 against Lynn.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Jose Bautista (OF, TOR) - $5200

Jose Bautista looks to be another must-start Blue Jay against opposing pitcher Rick Porcello at home. Bautista holds a wOBA of .392 against right-handed pitching this season. He has provided incredible production and usually performs on par with his price tag as well. This consistency makes him an even better pick in smaller competition pools. Bautista has dominated Porcello in his career, going 10 for 25 with one home run.

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) - $4900

Mike Trout actually manages to be undervalued at his current investment price. He looks to be a great pick against opposing pitcher Mike Pelfrey on the road. Trout holds an incredible wRC+ of 168 against right-handed pitching this season. He has also hit four home runs in his last five games, so definitely consider him for your secondary outfielder.

Alex Rios (OF, KC) - $3000

Alex Rios looks to be a great bargain pick as your tertiary outfielder against opposing pitcher Justin Verlander on the road. Rios only holds a wRC+ of 77 against right-handed pitching this season, but he has been spectacular since returning to the lineup earlier this month. Rios is 11 for his last 25 with two home runs. He is also a lifetime 17 for 46 against the veteran.
