BALLER MOVE: Start at QB1 in 24+ Team Leagues, Start at QB2 in 12 Team Superflex Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB1
ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph had a good game in his first start of the season, completing 17-of-27 pass attempts for 290 yards and two touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals. It was one of the best games of his career. He only had one game with a higher passer rating, which was also a victory over the Bengals in Week 4 of 2019.
Rudolph has only completed 61.6% of his pass attempts in his career, and he has just 18 career touchdown passes compared with 11 interceptions. Rudolph has a lower passer rating against every other team except the Bengals. If he plays like he usually does, he would not be a strong fantasy starter.
In Week 17, the Steelers face the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks allow the thirteenth-most fantasy points to opposing QBs in Draft King's scoring system. RotoBaller's Michael Florio notes that Rudolph has "a low floor, but some upside" in his sneaky starts column. Rudolph is the QB24 in RotoBaller's Week 17 QB rankings. That makes him a low end QB2 in superflex leagues.
