MarShawn Lloyd fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit MarShawn Lloyd in your fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd was a great running back prospect drafted out of USC. He posted some eye-popping advanced statistics and many highlight-reel-worthy plays. However, he's a rookie coming off a hamstring injury, so his role and health are unclear. He's a risky start this week.

Lloyd is an explosive playmaker with great elusiveness. He was the most elusive running back in the PAC-12, and that's likely the trait that the Packers most sought after when they drafted him. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is a fantastic offensive mind, and he should be able to maximize Lloyd's capabilities.
Lloyd is nursing a hamstring injury, though, and it's better if he's left on the bench for now. He's a great stash, but starting him is just risky. He may not play at all, and if he does, he may only receive minuscule volume. See former running back Aaron Jones' history with the Packers -- they are cautious with injured players.
Keep Lloyd in the back of your mind though. Packers lead RB Josh Jacobs had a historically inefficient season in 2023. Lloyd may earn a significant role in the Packers backfield if his health improves.
