MarShawn Lloyd fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 1 (2024). Should you start or sit MarShawn Lloyd for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in Extremely Deep Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB5
ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd has dealt with a hamstring injury for most of the preseason. The rookie injured his hamstring in the team's preseason opener on August 10. However, Lloyd is making significant progress from that injury and has a great chance of suiting up on Friday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Packers running back, though, should not be started in most fantasy leagues this week -- even if he can suit up. He has barely played in any preseason games and is the backup to Josh Jacobs in the running game. If the rookie does play in Week 1, there's a good chance he sees very limited opportunities, especially coming off a multi-week injury.
After practicing the last 2 days, #Packers RB Marshawn Lloyd (hammy) was on the stationary bike at practice today. He spoke yesterday about his status for Friday

Eventually, Lloyd will have some value in fantasy. AJ Dillon (neck) is out for the season with a neck injury, and the former USC product has the talent to make a Year 1 impact. But in Week 1 against the Eagles, Lloyd is a risky play in all formats.
