Livan Soto is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 19 (2024). Target Livan Soto as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
ANALYSIS: The Baltimore Orioles are calling up Livan Soto from Triple-A Norfolk ahead of Thursday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. Soto just joined the Orioles minor league system at Tuesday's trade deadline when the team acquired the infielder and Austin Slater from the Cincinnati Reds. With Jordan Westburg fracturing his hand in Wednesday's 10-4 win, the 24-year-old prospect will now replace him on the active roster.
Soto has posted solid numbers in the minors this season, hitting .280 with four home runs, 15 doubles, and 39 RBI. The young infielder has also been really impressive at the plate in July. He hit .303 with two HRs, three doubles, and 15 RBI in 18 July games.

However, Soto should not be an add in most leagues in Week 19. He doesn't have much power, as he has totaled just 27 HRs across 2,158 minor league at-bats. The 24-year-old also might not see frequent playing time with Jackson Holliday likely taking second base duties and Ramon Urias handling third. As a result, he should only be monitored in deeper leagues.
