Expert League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and LCS DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 07/03/21.

Hey everyone, good morning/afternoon, and welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LEC as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the Summer Split. Today, I'll be focusing on the 5-game LCS slate starting at 5 P.M. EST.

My name is Nathan Van Hare and I'll be covering LCS content for the summer split here on RotoBaller! Welcome back to my, predominantly, unbiased view of the LCS slates for the summer split. Here I do my best to keep my personal feelings about TSM and EG on the sidelines and give you the best information possible.

Today I'll be bringing you my League of Legends advice and analysis for the five-game LCS slate that locks on Saturday, July 3rd, at 5:00 PM. Thanks for reading, you can find me on Twitter @nvanhareDFS for more DFS related content!

  • Team SoloMid (-181) vs. Immortals (+147)

  • FlyQuest(+369) vs. 100 Thieves (-496)

CLG vs. EG

CLG had a week and a half run where they looked unstoppable but It seems like they've come back to Earth. Whatever their short term motivation was, it seems over now and they're back to being a bottom of the table team.

This is a tough one for me because I personally hate any team that uses Jiizuke (I know I sound like a broken record,) but I do think EG is the better team in this matchup and against a high pace team like CLG there's a good argument for their use in GPPs and cash alike. There's definitely two sides to that coin though and with EG's play style CLG could steal one here in a bloody win, both sides are viable in GPPs but would look for low exposure to CLG overall.

Top CLG Plays: Finn, Pobelter

Top EG Plays: Danny, Impact

IMT vs. TSM

This is a game I'm not going to spend too much time thinking about. TSM had a really rough day yesterday and their refusal to fight made their game against DIG difficult once they fell behind. Once again though, TSM is a really solid team and IMT just isn't. Is it possible TSM loses today? Sure. It's possible any team loses, but TSM aren't likely going to give IMT a chance in this one.

Look to team one off or small stack TSM in this one and use predominately for cash.

Top TSM Plays: TSM, PowerOfEvil

TL vs. C9

This is definitely the game I'm most excited about today. Arguably the two best teams in the league going at it. Liquid made a few mistakes in their game vs 100T yesterday but the game was definitely winnable for them throughout. C9 dominated IMT yesterday but still haven't looked like their old selves.

Neither of these teams feel safe to use in a cash lineup but both love to play high pace and get into team fights. With this dynamic and the closeness of skill between the two teams, I can definitely see this one going the distance with a bunch of kills. I'm looking to main stack this game often. I like taking shots on Liquid in this game as they disappointed in a tough game yesterday and they definitely should come in very low owned. C9 has that effect on their opponents, it doesn't matter who they are, if they play C9 they go way under-owned. Liquid has the potential to shoot you up to the top of the leaderboard or completely sink your lineup, but they are a very solid GPP play on this slate.

Top TL Plays: Armao, Jensen

Top C9 Plays: Blaber, Zven

DIG vs. GG

After weeks of burning money on Golden Guardians, the payoff came yesterday! GG is a fast paced fight happy team that isn't too technically proficient. They are good at fighting however, and against poorly skilled teams this is enough for them to get the job done. Dignitas definitely had a good game yesterday against TSM which no one expected. They took an early lead and TSM wouldn't contest them so the lead just grew. I don't expect we see DIG getting back to their spring form, especially with their current roster and I'm going to regard the game from yesterday as a fluke. I won't look to use a lot of them in my builds. Both of these teams kill a lot in their wins and die a lot in their losses, I definitely want a piece of this fiesta in my lineups.

Both of these teams make for really nice GPP stacks but I'm more inclined to be heavy on GG here, I would have some exposure to DIG if making 5+ lineups.

Top DIG Plays: Neo, aphromoo

Top GG Plays: Stixxay, Ablazeolive, Iconic

FQ vs. 100T

As always, last game takes very little analysis. FlyQuest is not a good team this split. 100 Thieves are a very good team, especially with the addition of Abbedagge this split. 100T should be high owned in GPPs and in cash but still is one of the better stacks in each of those formats, definitely don't fade 100T in cash.

Detailed analysis: Don't play FQ, play 100T.

Top 100T Plays: All, especially Closer/Abbedagge

Summary

  1. 100T is the chalk and the major cash play of the day, definitely viable in all formats.
  2. I love taking shots at Liquid in their matchup against C9. They are a really good team and have a good shot.
  3. GG is a great GPP target game, heavier on GG but still have some DIG.
  4. I'm not one to make predictions but I'm going to have a fun 5 game parlay each week where I post my picks here in the summary. This week I'm going with EG, TSM, TL, GG, 100T. Good luck to all that are playing this weekend!
