LCS DFS Lineup Picks for 6/27/21 - FanDuel, DraftKings League Of Legends Daily Fantasy

Expert League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and LCS DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 6/27/21.

Hey everyone, good morning/afternoon, and welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LEC as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the Summer Split. Today, I'll be focusing on the 5-game LCS slate starting at 4 P.M. EST.

My name is Nathan Van Hare and I'll be covering LCS content for the summer split here on RotoBaller! I'm new to RotoBaller but I'm not new to the esports DFS area. I've been playing all the esports DFS I can get my hands ever since April of 2020 and hardly missed a day. As someone who didn't know much about esports 2 years ago, It has really surprised me to see how passionate and dedicated I've become about something I knew next to nothing about just two years ago.

Today I'll be bringing you my League of Legends advice and analysis for the five-game LCS slate that locks on Sunday, June 27th, at 4:00 PM. Thanks for reading, you can find me on Twitter @nvanhareDFS for more DFS related content!

LCS Matchups

  • Cloud9 (-238) vs. CounterLogic Gaming (+191)
  • Dignitas (+129) vs. Evil Geniuses (-157)
  • Immortals(+172) vs. 100 Thieves (-213)
  • TSM (-117) vs. Liquid (-104)
  • Golden Guardians (+132) vs. FlyQuest (-161)

Cloud9 vs. CounterLogic Gaming

Another slate another time of me telling everyone to play Cloud9. They've really underperformed lately, but they're still C9. CLG is a fight heavy team, look at yesterday's game vs. Liquid. In their game we saw lots of fights and they didn't give up easily whatsoever.

Liquid definitely saw ceiling numbers yesterday in a 28 kill win vs CLG, but C9 is much more aggressive than Liquid. So while we may not be in store for a 28 kill win like TL, we are sure likely to see a high kill game from C9 and lots of team fights.

Because of the high scoring potential and upside, C9 makes for a great stack in both cash and GPP formats. For Cash they have a high floor and upside making them a great option and for GPP their upside is unmatched. Since Zven has returned to the lineup the focus has returned to him and Blaber and pulled a bit off of Perkz. I like blaber and Zven as Carries again on this team.

Top C9 Plays: Zven, Blaber, Perkz

Dignitas vs. Evil Geniuses

Like we saw yesterday, Dignitas has massive upside when they are on. In this matchup, given that both of these teams make many mistakes and lead themselves to team fights, both teams have a major upside. Jiizuke dying often and Dignitas being inexperienced is a recipe for DFS success. For a while at the beginning of the split, I kept discounting EG. I'm still relatively a non-believer but sometimes you have to give credit where it's due, they've been playing well. Especially with Contractz filling in and playing out of his mind yesterday.

Danny is a great addition to the team and really operates as a hyper-carry at times, which definitely isn't a bad thing in the scope of DFS. For Dignitas, we have Neo as the current upside player for the team and the matchup of Danny v. Neo at the BOT lane is definitely something I'm excited to see play out.

Overall I'm looking to use some Dignitas stacks in GPPs and sprinkle in some EG stacks as well, I want to capture this game's upside as much as possible

Top Evil Geniuses Plays: Danny, Contractz

Top Dignitas Plays: Neo, FakeGod

Immortals vs. 100 Thieves

100 Thieves turned their split around dramatically. Yesterday they took down C9 and they're looking to build upon that moving forward in the competition. Immortals is a team that generally plays very fast pace and allows their opponents to do the same. I like to compare them to Dignitas as during the spring split they were very similar teams/play styles. We saw yesterday their potential with a 29 kill win vs. GG. 100 Thieves is a little bit better than GG though, some would say.

I'm looking to target 100T very often in GPPs as well as some consideration in cash lineups. They have a high floor and upside and look to carry less ownership than C9 and EG.

Top Immortals Plays: Xerxe, Raes, Revenge

Top 100 Thieves Plays: Closer, Abbedagge

TSM vs. Liquid

Liquid has been absolutely dominant this split. I think this is a super interesting game because it's a team that is going to put TSM out of their comfort zone. TSM likes to play slow and controlling and Liquid, this split, has really been pushing the pace of play during their games. We saw yesterday what can happen when this dynamic occurs with EG and I expect a similar game to occur today.

Liquid replacing Santorin with Armao, for the time being, has turned out to be a really good decision. Armao is playing better in this squad than Santorin was and, I think, deserves a long-term spot on this roster. Honestly, the whole Liquid roster has been playing over-the-top well over the last few weeks, and they're not a team I'm looking to play many stacks against.

That being said TSM stacks likely go overlooked and deserve some consideration in GPPs.

Top Liquid Plays: Jensen, Armao

Top TSM Plays: PowerOfEvil

Golden Guardians vs. FlyQuest

Another terrible team vs terrible team matchup today. Like we saw yesterday, these bad team games can really have high kill results. Yesterday Dignitas took on FQ and completed 25 kills before ending the game. Golden Guardians don't play as high pace as DIG does but they still allow for tons of scoring anyways.

This is a game in which I likely have equal amounts of both sides in large stacks. This game is going to be high kill, high pace, and huge entertainment. Palafox and Josedeodo will likely be the main players here for FQ in the midlane/jungle and the battle of them vs. Ablazeolive and Iconic is going to be the deciding factor in this game. In stacks of each, I would make sure to include those players as they operate in a "win-condition" manner for each team. Meaning that if FQ wins it's likely because those two had a good game and the same goes for GG with Ablazeolive and Iconic.

Top Golden Guardians Plays: Stixay, Ablazeolive, Iconic

Top FlyQuest Plays: Palafox, Josedeodo.

Summary

  1. Liquid is on a roll, They should plow through TSM here but I don't know if they're a priority in GPPS for me.
  2. FQ vs. GG is a huge DFS potential match.
  3. C9 and 100T are the elite teams in this region and I look to use a lot of both of those teams.
  4. I'm not one to make predictions but I'm going to have a fun 5 game parlay each week where I post my picks here in the summary. This week I'm going with C9, Dignitas, Liquid, Golden Guardians, 100 Thieves. ! Good luck to all that are playing this weekend!
