BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 58% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: It feels like we've been waiting on Dallas Cowboys second-year tight end Jake Ferguson to break out all season. That's not to say that Ferguson hasn't had some good games, though.
For example, on Sunday against the Rams, he caught all four of his targets for 47 yards and a touchdown, marking the second time this season that Ferguson has found the end zone.
However, his usage remains inconsistent. Starting at Week 1, here are his target totals this season: seven, four, seven, seven, three, one, four.
There's been a drop in how often quarterback Dak Prescott is looking Ferguson's way, which makes his fantasy value tough to predict. The good news is that Ferguson has done a good job taking advantage of the opportunities that he's had, as he's caught every one of his targets over the past four games.
Good things seem to happen when the Cowboys get the ball to Ferguson. Maybe Sunday's game will lead to increased usage for Ferguson going forward. One good sign is that he's played his highest percentage of Dallas' snaps in back-to-back games. After not topping 72% since Week 1, Ferguson has played 86% and 80% in the past two Cowboys games. He's worth adding in 14-team leagues as well as in 12-team leagues if you're in dire need of an upside play at tight end.
