J.D. McKissic is a 2021 fantasy football draft sleeper at running back and an ADP draft value. Target McKissic as an undervalued RB in fantasy football drafts.
BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~125 Overall
CURRENT ADP: ~142
ANALYSIS: Washington Football Team running back J.D. McKissic was fantasy relevant in spurts last year while playing second fiddle to Antonio Gibson. McKissic carved out a large role in the passing game, commanding 110 targets which led to him catching 80 balls for 589 yards and two touchdowns. His ability to churn out production as a receiving threat led to him finishing the year as the RB27, which is impressive considering he went undrafted in fantasy leagues. McKissic was very consistent, producing five RB1 weeks and three RB2 weeks. He was never considered the lead dog in the backfield but made the most of his opportunities.
But the addition of Ryan Fitzpatrick is a massive variable for his output in 2021. There's a chance he could see fewer check-downs in the flat. Gibson will have his first full offseason with the team and there's a good chance he takes over as the alpha in the backfield. If that happens, there will be very few opportunities for McKissic to carve a role in the backfield.
Overall, McKissic is still a very reliable option in the passing game, and therefore a solid late-round option to draft in PPR leagues. If he can continue to receive work as a check-down option then he should continue to have some productive weeks. Fantasy gamers should look at him as a speculative late-round roster addition with some potential upside as the backup for Gibson. But if Washington finds themselves playing from behind, McKissic can once again see plenty of volume in the passing game and have even more value. With such a low draft-day cost, he's an easy flier to take in PPR leagues and can potentially provide a sneaky-good return on investment.

Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups - Brandon Aiyuk, Jalen Coker, Sterling Shepard Fantasy Football Outlooks
Wide receivers on waivers are always interesting players to try to snag. They can be hugely boom-or-bust players, especially in PPR leagues, where receptions count for a full point. That one point counts for the same as 10 rushing yards, 10 receiving yards, or 25 passing yards, meaning even players that sometimes operate as "PPR […]
