Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman was the 27th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Bateman had an outstanding college career, totaling 147 receptions for 2,395 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns. Furthermore, he finished third in the Big Ten in receiving touchdowns (11) in 2019.
More importantly, the former Minnesota star had a solid rookie season. He missed the start of the year with an injury. However, Bateman ended the season with 46 receptions on 68 targets for 515 receiving yards and a touchdown. Furthermore, the rookie averaged 4.2 receptions on 6.8 targets for 54 receiving yards over the first five games of his career.
Bateman’s fantasy value exploded during the 2022 offseason. The Ravens traded Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals, making the second-year man the team’s top wide receiver. Furthermore, Baltimore didn’t have a capable No. 2 wide receiver on the roster, making the former Minnesota star a popular sophomore-year breakout candidate.

What Did Rashod Bateman Accomplish In 2022?
Last year Bateman started the year on fire. He had six receptions on 12 targets for 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns over the first two weeks last season. The former Minnesota star was the WR14 during those two weeks, averaging 15.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Unfortunately, he struggled after those first two contests. Bateman had only nine receptions on 16 targets for 118 receiving yards in the other four games last year. The former Minnesota star battled a foot injury that ultimately cost him 11 contests in 2022.

Unfortunately, the former Minnesota star struggled earlier this offseason with the foot that he had surgery on last year. Bateman started training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list because of the offseason surgery.
However, the third-year wide receiver came off the PUP list and returned to practice today. More importantly, Bateman looks 100% healthy and ready for Week 1.
While Zay Flowers has been the unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver during training camp, Bateman still has a chance to take over that title. According to the RotoBaller ADP, the former Minnesota star is an 11th-round pick in a 12-team league. His ADP should only rise from here, making him a steal at his current cost.
