Zach Ertz Injury Update

Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz (knee) suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Week 10 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, according to sources. It's a tough blow for the team and the veteran Ertz. The 32-year-old is going for a second opinion on his knee, but it's believed that he won't play again in 2022. If it's confirmed with a second opinion, Ertz will finish with 47 receptions on 69 targets for 406 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games played in his first full season in Arizona.

With Ertz likely out of the picture for the rest of the way, tight ends Trey McBride and Stephen Anderson are in line to see much bigger roles at the position, while receivers DeAndre Hopkins, Rondale Moore, A.J. Green, Robbie Anderson and Greg Dortch could also see more targets. Marquise Brown (foot) is also expected to be back in the near future.

Dallas Goedert Injury Update

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (shoulder) will miss extended time due to a shoulder injury that he suffered in Monday night's loss to the Washington Commanders, according to sources. It's not a season-ending injury, but fantasy managers will have to go in another direction if they've been using Goedert as their starter at the position. The 27-year-old scored a touchdown for the second straight game on Monday and had three catches for 23 yards in the team's first loss.

It's a tough blow for the Eagles and fantasy managers alike, as Goedert is the TE3 in overall half-point PPR scoring this season. In his absence, Jack Stoll and rookie Grant Calcaterra will see more playing time, but they aren't realistic fantasy targets off the waiver wire. Expect receivers A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Quez Watkins, among others, to see more targets going forward.

Mark Andrews Injury Update

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said that tight end Mark Andrews (knee, shoulder) has a "really good chance" of playing in Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers. Andrews was held out of the Week 9 game but had a bye last week to heal up, and it looks like he'll have a good shot at returning this Sunday to face Carolina.

Gerald Everett Injury Update

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley said that tight end Gerald Everett (groin) is day-to-day after suffering a groin injury in Sunday night's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. "I think you'll see him out there in practice some time this week," Staley said. Everett left the game in the second quarter on Sunday night and never returned, finishing with two catches for 23 yards.

However, it sounds like the veteran tight end will have a chance to play on Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11. The 28-year-old has been a viable TE streamer in fantasy with receivers Keenan Allen (hamstring) and Mike Williams (ankle) sidelined, but they both have a shot to return for the showdown against the Chiefs as well.
