FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/13/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

There is a funky 7-game main slate on Saturday, so once again precision is going to be key. There aren't that many options out there, but there is still plenty of value ready to be utilized. Truthfully, none of these games are all that enticing from a general standpoint, but the Bulls-Pistons should be fairly close and Denver-San Antonio gives us a chance to see the Nuggets against one of the league's top defenses. The Raptors have been heating up this season, but a regular season game between Toronto and Golden State is purely aesthetic. The Warriors are still clearly lined up to bring back another championship, but tomorrow look for Delon Wright, DeMar DeRozan, and C.J. Miles to see some extra opportunities.

All the top superstars are playable, but the one that specifically catches my eye is Draymond Green. Since the Warriors have been spotty when it comes to injuries, Draymond Green is going to be the biggest beneficiary if one of the core four is out. He has plenty of upside and with a price on the lower end, there's little reason you can't find a way to roster him.

Below you will find our daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/13/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options, to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Ish Smith - PG, at CHI ($6,500)

The Bulls backcourt has not been good against opposing guards. They rank 22nd against opposing point guards and Ish Smith has been on a recent tear. His speed make him hard to keep up with and the Pistons solid play increases his upside. This will be one of the higher scoring games Saturday and Ish Smith will continue to generate offense for Detroit. Reggie Jackson is still a chunk of time away from a return and Smith will always be a decent option as long as he is getting the start. He had a modest game against Brooklyn, so expect him to rebound in Chicago. If you aren't feeling Smith, feel free to take a look at consider Dwight Buycks as a deep sleeper option.

Spencer Dinwiddie - PG, at WAS ($6,500)

Spencer Dinwiddie has taken the Brooklyn backcourt by storm. After nearing a triple-double yesterday in less than 30 minutes, he'll have plenty of momentum to take to D.C. John Wall is one of the most intimidating guards in the league to roster players against, but that won't change the fact that guards have still been able to score. The Wizards are in the top 10 stingiest defenses when it comes to opposing guards, but Dinwiddie has simply been too hot to fade. Even going against Wall, Dinwiddie can't help but produce in some way or fashion. I expect him to do much more scoring this game and double-double from points and assists.

Justin Holiday - SG, vs DET ($4,900)

Although Zach Lavine might be returning, it shouldn't take away from Holiday's opportunities. If anything, it should space out defenses more, allowing Holiday more open threes and chances for isolation offense. Even if Holiday isn't the most skilled one-on-one scorer, his length causes matchup problems and with Lavine as an option to pass to, expect Holiday to actually increase his production rather than seeing a decline. His price is too low to pass up seeing how many minutes he gets' nightly.

Norman Powell - SG, vs GSW ($4,000)

This is one of the riskier plays, but Norman Powell has been slowly dwindling in value as the season has progressed. The injury to Kyle Lowry opens up some space for Powell, but his streaky perimeter shooting still causes a problem. Luckily, the Warriors tend to draw opponents into shootouts and this is where Powell is going to benefit. DeMar DeRozan can absolutely take the ball up every possession and try to score, but he also won't be winning the game by himself. With that, Powell has established himself as an effective paint scorer who can knock down shots in groups. The Warriors will sucker the Raptors into shooting more threes than normal and Powell will be the one taking a fair share of those shots.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Joe Harris - SF, at WAS ($3,900)

Joe Harris has strung together consistent games recently, and his ability to knock down a multitude of threes gives him serious upside. After beating the Hawks, the Nets have continued to give Harris his fair share of usage and that was clearly evident Friday night. In 23 minutes he posted 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting, 2-for-2 from three. His efficiency has been a trend all season and his DFS relevance is hit or miss. Since Harris is primarily a shooter, his DFS relevance is limited unless he he shoots the leather off the ball. The Hawks is an athletically underrated defense and it looked to warm him up without seeming to exhaust his energy. Harris should have no problem carrying Friday's momentum into Saturday.

Markieff Morris - PF, vs BKN ($5,000)

The Nets frontcourt is atrocious. Very little defense and Kenny Atkinson tends to run smaller lineups anyway. Since Gortat always gets minutes, expect Morris to produce mot of his points with another big or stretch on the court. Markieff Morris has been up and down all season but he tends to always be a part of the Wizards offense. He rebounds well and since the Nets are one of the top rebounders, the Wizards are going to have to find a way to effectively score. That means the Wizards will need to work the ball around to find open shots, usually Morris' specialty. As a player that produces well in catch-and-shoot situations, Morris should get more than enough opportunities.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Pau Gasol - C, vs DEN (5,700)

Pau Gasol has been incredible this season. I never like to play Spurs players, but it's been hard to fade Gasol over and over when he continues to leave opposing frontcourts in his path of destruction. His usage has remained consistent for at least the past month including a 30% usage rating three games ago against the Pacers. The Spurs will continue to rest place and utilize their discipline, but Gasol is a big part of the veteran leadership and will produce across the board given the minutes. The Nuggets currently rank near the bottom against opposing centers so feel free to try and capitalize on Gasol's lower price.
