FanDuel DFS – MLB Lineup Picks, Sleepers and Advice for 8/10/15

There are only seven games on the docket for Monday, August 10th, yet plenty of great matchups. The Dodgers will begin a three games series against the visiting Nationals out on the West Coast, while a hot Mets team meets the Rockies on the East Coast, and the Tigers and Royals are set to battle in between.

A few star pitchers in Chris Sale, Johnny Cueto, and Gio Gonzalez are poised to take the mound as well, making for an intriguing round of matchups for FanDuel players. Here are a handful of pitchers and outfielders to watch.

Editor's Note: We have some awesome rest of season MLB DFS Services Premium Lineup Picks deals, that include all of our Premium DFS lineup picks, analysis and also exclusive access to all our other Premium tools, apps and resources. Get MLB DFS Premium and get an edge!

DFS Starting Pitchers to Target for FanDuel

Johnny Cueto (SP, KC) - $10,400

With a host of questionable pitching options today, Cueto becomes worth his price. He’s as consistent as they come, and a 2.69 ERA backs that up, plus he’s been strong in two starts with Royals now.

Rubby De La Rosa (SP, ARI) - $7,100

Although the season statistics aren’t pretty, De La Rosa has been much better as of late, and his ERA at home is nearly a whole run better than on the road. He’s also holding opponents to a .242 AVG at Chase Field. Combine that with a matchup against a Phillies lineup in the bottom half of the league when it comes to run production, and the young right-hander has potential to be a great play.

DFS Infielders to Target for FanDuel

Robinson Cano (2B, SEA) - $3,900

Cano already has as many HR since the all-star break as he did in entire first half of the season, and he faces a pitcher in Chris Tillman on Monday whom he has notched 12 hits, two HR, and eight RBI against in only 29 AB. He’s hitting like the old Cano and should continue to do so today.

Jonathan Schoop (2B, BAL) - $2,600

With an OPS north of 1.000 across his last 15 games, Schoop is a great option if you’re unwilling to pay highly for Cano. He only has a handful of RBI over the last couple of weeks, but he is hitting nearly .400 and has showed off an impressive power stroke time and time again. That’s something you don’t often see from a second baseman.

Lucas Duda (1B, NYM) - $4,200

A recent surge including nine HR in 15 games has put Duda among the hottest power hitters in baseball. He’ll face a right-hander on Monday in a bittersweet matchup for the slugger. On one hand, Duda only has a .226 AVG against righties in 2015. On the other, 16 of Duda’s 21 HR have come against them. The latter matters more. If he connects, he could be a great deal.

DFS Outfielders to Target for FanDuel

Adam Eaton (OF, CHW) - $4,000

After a miserable first half, Eaton has found his swing after the All-Star break, and the result has been a league-leading 20 runs scored since. He jammed his shoulder on Friday but should be ready for Monday’s tilt against the Angels and could be a great sleeper.

Nelson Cruz (OF, SEA) - $5,000

Ride him while he’s hot. Few hitters in baseball have produced as consistently as Cruz across the last week or so, and a matchup against Miguel Gonzalez doesn’t intimidate anyone. The Mariners’ talented lineup is beginning to produce (Cano is also on this list), and Cruz stands to continue benefitting.

Ender Inciarte (OF, ARI) - $2,800

The least-known name on this list, Inciarte is surprisingly hitting almost .300 on the year and has an even better AVG over the last 30 days. He can’t be trusted for power, but he could put up points through runs, hits, and RBI, making him the steal of this list.
