Evan McPherson start 'em, sit 'em fantasy football lineup picks for Week 16. Should you start or sit Evan McPherson in Week 16 (2023) fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start at K in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: K1
ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson has made over 80% of the field goals he has attempted in each of his three seasons in the NFL. He has also made over 90% of his extra point attempts, and this season, he is a perfect 34-out-of-34 on extra points.
McPherson's fantasy scoring was down earlier this season because the Bengals' offense was struggling. In two of their first four games, the Bengals did not score a single touchdown, depriving McPherson of the opportunity to kick extra points. While the Bengals did attempt five field goals in Week 3, there were also multiple weeks in which they only attempted a single field goal. In the past six weeks, however, McPherson has made two or more field goals in five games.
This week, McPherson faces the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are a middle-of-the-road defense in most categories. When it comes to special teams, the Steelers are also about average. They are allowing 7.3 points to opposing kickers per game, which ranks No. 17 in the league.
From Week 10 through Week 15, McPherson has been the No. 4 kicker in fantasy football. He should continue to be a top-12 kicker against the Steelers.
