Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Draft Outlooks
Malik Nabers, New York Giants
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers planted his flag as the No. 1 receiver for Big Blue, thanks to 170 targets on a team with little else going for it. He missed two games, yet trailed Ja'Marr Chase for the NFL target lead by just five. Despite the insane volume, he only caught 109 balls for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns, as said targets came from Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, Drew Lock, and Tim Boyle. Those Giants quarterbacks only completed 20.7% of throws 20 or more yards downfield, with no other team failing to hit on a 25% clip.
But now, Nabers should enjoy far better looks from Jaxson Dart or the aggressive Jameis Winston. Even the conservative Russell Wilson should be a step up. And there's no seismic change to the competition tree for targets, with the Giants opting not to sign or draft a notable WR to push Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson for snaps. The defense should put up more of a fight with Abdul Carter on the edge, but this is a team that'll still find itself trailing often. Nabers should see plenty of action and has a great chance at paying off the first-round price tag.

Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams will be playing for his third team in two seasons when Week 1 kicks off after failed experiments with the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Jets. Despite playing for unsuccessful teams with less-than-ideal quarterback situations for the most part, Adams has finished as a fantasy WR1 in each of the past five seasons. Now inserted in Sean McVay's offense alongside Puka Nacua, Adams is in the most fantasy-friendly position he has been in since leaving the Green Bay Packers.
While he projects as the WR2 in the offense alongside Nacua, there is no reason that Matthew Stafford, even at 37 years old, cannot support two fantasy WR1s when surrounded by receivers of this talent. Adams has shown no signs of slowing down, and another WR1 finish is certainly in the cards despite an early ADP of WR18.

Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs' second-year receiver Xavier Worthy made a statement in his NFL debut, scoring two touchdowns on the season-opening Thursday night win over Baltimore. His play from that moment on was fairly inconsistent until about Week 14, when he finally earned a full-time role in the offense despite Rashee Rice (knee) having been out of the lineup since Week 4. In the final seven games of the season, including the playoffs, he averaged 8.3 targets per game, 74.0 receiving yards per game, and scored a total of six touchdowns.
He had carved out a significant role in the Chiefs' offense, and will continue to hold that role down with Rice likely sidelined for the beginning of the season. A sophomore breakout is certainly a possibility for the speedy receiver, but the dispersal of targets between himself and Rice will be interesting to monitor once the third-year receiver is fully back.

Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings is getting his share of hype entering the 2025 campaign. Deebo Samuel Sr. is no longer on the roster after he was traded to the Washington Commanders in March. Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is still working his way back from a torn ACL and MCL. As a result, Jennings has a chance to establish himself as the No. 1 wideout on the depth chart even after Aiyuk is healthy. The 27-year-old is coming off a quality season, finishing with 77 receptions for 975 yards and six touchdowns.
Had he not missed two contests, he likely would have surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving mark. Without question, quarterback Brock Purdy will rely on Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle to catch passes. Ricky Pearsall may also get an enhanced role. Still, Jennings is the clear favorite to lead the way at the position.
