DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (6/9/23): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/9/23. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

It is increasingly likely that this will be my last NBA piece of the season. It has been a wild ride, and hopefully, we all came out more than a little bit ahead. We're not done yet! As long as the guys keep taking to the hardwood, we DFS grinders will be right there with them!

We are in showdown mode for the rest of the finals. Showdowns are a little different. On DraftKings, you have a "captain" that scores 1.5x points but is also 1.5x the price. On FanDuel, there are no price multipliers, but points still are for several slots. The MVP slot scores double the points. The Star scores 1.5x points. The pro slot scores 1.2x points. There are also two utility slots that score the normal point value. Are you ready?

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/9/23. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before the lineup locks at 8:30 pm EST. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings and FanDuel Captain/MVP - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Jokic, DEN ($23,400 DK; $18,500 FD)

Jokic has 210 DraftKings points in the first three games of this series. You have to use him in the top slot in cash games. If you choose to go another direction in a GPP, you better make damn sure you choose someone that goes off and still have Jokic somewhere in your lineup. This means a lot more strategy on the DraftKings side of things. On FanDuel, slap Jokic into the MVP slot and move on.

Jamal Murray, DEN ($11,600 DK; $15,000 FD)

I know, I know. You guys want a Miami option. There isn't one that can hold a candle to Jokic or Murray, not even for the price. Murray went bonkers in the Game 3 win and hasn't been under 40 fantasy points since Game 5 against the Suns. His 34-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double in Game 3 is exactly what you are going to need to fade Jokic at the captain slot and get away with it. While a triple-double isn't likely, a double-double is very likely and he should at least flirt with 50 fantasy points. Murray is going to make some large-field GPPs very interesting in Game 4.

Also consider: Caleb Martin, MIA ($9,300 DK, $10,000 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Utility Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Bam Adebayo, MIA ($9,400 DK; $14,000 FD)

Bam has played like the All-Star that he is in this series. He is averaging 23 points and 13 rebounds per game so far. He offers the consistency that you need for a Jokic fade in large cash games, but he doesn't offer quite the upside that Murray does. You know what you are getting from Bam. He is carrying the Heat against this rough Denver defense and should be a priority in every lineup. I would run him over Murray if you're not running Murray at captain/MVP.

Aaron Gordon, DEN ($6,600 DK; $11,500 FD)

As per usual, Michael Porter crash-landed somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean after reaching new heights in the Lakers series. It has been Gordon that has turned in the strong games at forward while Porter has struggled mightily in this series. Porter had only hit three of his 15 shots over the last two games combined. Meanwhile, Gordon's steady production on both ends of the floor has made him a great DFS option.

Others to consider: Bruce Brown, DEN ($5,000 DK; $9,000 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Value Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kyle Lowry, MIA ($4,600 DK; $8,500 FD)

The veteran has been a stabilizing presence in this series. Gabe Vincent, much like Porter, has gone cold a couple of times recently. Lowry had a rough Game 2, but that is the only game in which he has been under 20 fantasy points in the last five. The Miami guard roulette gets old, but Lowry is the only one that offers any kind of consistency. Unfortunately, his floor is as low as everyone else's. At least his price won't set you back as far as Vincent should he fail.

Max Strus, MIA ($4,400 DK; $8,500 FD)

It's a three-man show for Denver, but Miami has a lot of guys producing. Unfortunately, it's not the same guys aside from Bam and a significantly overpriced Jimmy Butler. Strus has shined with Tyler Herro sidelined thanks to his ability to stuff the stat sheet. If Vincent stays cold, Strus is the main benefactor.

Others to consider: Kevin Love, MIA ($3,000 DK, $8,000 FD)
