DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/25/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Josh Jung - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on September 25, 2023. Casey Wilson's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We're back at it on a Monday after a great football weekend. We have a tiny three-game night slate tonight, with an island game in the afternoon. We have had some massive slates the last few Mondays, so one of these tiny travel day slates was bound to happen. The contests are watered down with football tonight and the slate not starting till late. I would recommend reserving your entries early if you are playing tonight.

I will cover the three-game slate starting at 9:38 p.m. in this article. With today's small slate, ownership should be very condensed, so finding some ways to leverage is essential. Blake Snell is the clear option on tonight's slate, but with that will come a ton of ownership. I love game stacking the Angels and the Rangers as the two most vulnerable pitchers come from that game. Let's dig in and see where we land with our plays tonight.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/25/2023 and the slate locking at 9:38 p.m. ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Now that we got all that out of the way, it's onto the picks! DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Blake Snell, SD at SF ($9,600 DK, $11,500 FD)

Blake Snell, the favorite to win the National League Cy Young award, will square off against the San Fransisco Giants tonight. Snell enters today's start with a 14-9 record, 2.33 ERA, 4.08 SIERA, 31.7% K%, and 15.2% SwStr%. He has been even better in the second half of the season with a 9-2 record, 1.54 ERA, 4.32 SIERA, 32.0% K%, and a 15.7% SwStr%. The Giants have been vulnerable against lefties this season. They own a 26.5% K% against the split since August 1.

Snell has the most upside on tonight’s slate and is a tough fade. If you are playing one entry and looking for a sweat, stacking against him isn’t your worst idea. It’s an all-or-nothing mentality, but his ownership will be 80% or higher. Another technique to get different with Snell is to one-off a San Fransico Giant and hope for a solo home run. We will get into this in the hitter section a bit more.

Also consider: Logan Webb

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Josh Jung - 3B, TEX vs. Patrick Sandoval ($4,800 DK, $3,300 FD)

One of my favorite lefty mashers is back in our lives with the Texas Rangers in Josh Jung. The Rangers are my favorite stack on tonight's slate, and Jung is my top bat in this stack. Sandoval has a .404 wOBA, .160 ISO, and a 47.5% hard hit against righties over the last 30 days. On the season, Jung has a 177 wRC+, a .430 wOBA, and a .651 SLG against the split.

Wilmer Flores  - 1B/2B/3B, SF vs. Blake Snell ($3,900 DK, $2,900 FD)

Here is my favorite leverage tonight against Blake Snell. Of course, this leverage comes with injury risk, as Flores exited yesterday's game with knee discomfort. Flores has been dynamite against lefties all season with a 145 wRC+, .383 wOBA, and a .538 SLG. He’s been even better in the second half with a 164 wRC+, a .412 wOBA, and a .588 SLG. I love playing Flores in my Snell lineups to get slightly different on tonight’s slate without completely fading Snell.

Nolan Schanuel - 1B, LAA vs. Jon Gray ($3,400 DK, $2,900 FD)

Rookie Nolan Schanuel gets the struggling Jon Gray tonight. Schanuel, a draft pick this July out of FAU, has been a massive surprise for the Angels this season. Gray, over the last 30 days, owns a .395 wOBA, .232 ISO, and a 42.9% hard hit against left-handed batters. Schanuel, since his early call-up to the big leagues, has a 124 wRC+, .353 wOBA, and a .354 SLG. I love the wrap-around for the Angels tonight, which we will get into later, and this game stack seems juicy.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Julio Rodriguez - OF, SEA vs. Justin Verlander ($6,300 DK, $4,300 FD)

Julio Rodriguez and the Mariners will square off against Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros this evening. Verlander has shown serious reverse split issues over the last 30 days. He has a .394 wOBA, .321 ISO, and a 62.8% hard hit against the split in that span. J Rod has been nails in the second half and has shown elite form. He has a 159 wRC+, .395 wOBA, and a .587 SLG against the split over that span. The Mariners could be the sneaky low-owned stack tonight.

Robbie Grossman -OF, TEX vs. Patrick Sandoval ($3,200 DK, $2,800 FD)

If stacking the Texas Rangers tonight, Robbie Grossman is a must-play. He owns a 160 wRC+, a .406 wOBA, and a .551 SLG on the season. He has been even better in the second half of the season. He has a 213 wRC+, a .483 wOBA, and a .674 SLG during that span. Sandoval struggles against righties, making Grossman the perfect cheap bat to include in stacks.

Brett Phillips - OF, LAA vs. Jon Gray ($2,400 DK, $2,200 FD)

Brett Phillips is back in our lives and squares off against Jon Gray tonight. I will admit I have a soft spot for Phillips. He won me a ton of money with a Grand Slam at Fenway Park with the Tampa Bay Rays a few years back. Gray, over the last 30 days, owns a .395 wOBA, .232 ISO, and a 42.9% hard hit against left-handed batters. Since his call-up, Phillips has a 124 wRC+, .352 wOBA, and a .514 SLG. If you need the value tonight, he’s your guy.
